How do I place an order?

You can place your order by phone at 1-800-890-7393. You can also fill out  a simple form and fax it over to us at: 281-291-7825. All rentals are subject to availability. A contract must be signed prior to the start of the rental term.

How far in advance of my rental date(s) should I order the equipment?

As soon as you know you need the equipment! We also accept next day and same day service but keep in mind that last minute order could be more expensive

What is the minimum rental period?

The minimum rental period is one day. We have available daily, weekly, and monthly rental rates.

Where can you deliver equipment to?

All rentals are for the Houston Area Only. We are looking to expand our rental service to other cities pretty soon!

Is shipping included in the cost of the rental?

No, shipping is extra and will be determined based on destination, and weight of equipment being rented.

Are taxes included in the rental rates shown in this web site?

No, taxes are charged in addition to the rental rates shown in this web site. Other charges may also apply. 

When will I receive my equipment?

In most cases, we deliver your equipment the day prior to your rental date at no additional cost. This will give you the time you need to setup the equipment.

How do I receive my equipment?

We will deliver the equipment to the jobsite unless other arrangements are made. This will greatly minimize your shipping cost compared to the fees charged by regular courier or express delivery services. Delivery of equipment by Houston Plasma Rental is subject to availability.

However, if you prefer, your equipment can also be delivered to you at your expense via courier or express delivery service using UPS.

How do I return my rental equipment back to Houston Plasma Rental?

We will pickup the equipment at jobsite. If equipment has been delivered to you via courier or express delivery service, we will include pre-paid adhesive UPS return labels along with the equipment. After using equipment, simply affix this label to the outside of the delivery box and schedule a pickup time with UPS.

How do I know what type of equipment is right for my needs?

When choosing equipment for any event a number of factors need to be considered. Particular consideration need to be taken on the size and type of Plasma or LCD display and the sound system needed.

Room size and conditions, seating arrangements and factors such as lighting, acoustics, and the types of other equipment that will be in use will all affect the decision.

• What type of video connection will be used: VGA, DVI?

• If using a laptop, can the monitor output be activated?

• Will a video file or DVD be shown?

• What type of video will be played: MPEG-2, MPEG-4, Flash?

• What is the size of the room to be used and where will the screen be positioned?

• How many people will be attending the event?

• Is a floor plan of the exhibition or presentation area available?

Can I change or cancel a previously placed order?

Please call 1-800-890-7393 to change or cancel an order. Please have handy your order number. You may cancel your order with 72 hours notice prior to the beginning of your rental period and receive either a refund or a credit towards a future order. Any cancellation made out of the 72 hours prior the begining of the event policy will not be eligible for a credit or refund. This includes cancellations for orders placed the same day as your rental date.

Do you offer technician services for setting up the equipment?

Yes. The hourly rate for our technicians is $75 per hour (minimum 2 hours).

Do you offer insurance?

We do not offer insurance. You are responsible for the equipment while you are renting. If you cannot use your own insurance to protect the equipment your rent, a deposit will be required. The purpose and intent of the deposit is to secure the payment of the rental charges and replacements or repairs should damage to the equipment happen to occur.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Do you rent to individuals?

Yes, as long as you have a major credit card that will hold rental charges (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).

Computer Rental Frequently Asked Questions

What operating system does the computer come with?

We can load any operating system you need however Windows XP Professional SP2 and Windows 2000 SP4 are most common for PC's. Just ask your sales rep if you have a specific need. Also, we can pre-load any software package and provide custom configurations for an additional fee. Please reserve your rental ahead of time to allow enough time for customized system configuration. Additional charges will apply for software customization. 

Does the computer come with a monitor?

No, the monitor is not included with the computer, but we carry an extensive line of flat panels (LCD and Plasma) ranging from 17" to 65". We also carry CRT monitors ranging from 15" to 20".

What is included with the rental?

Keyboard and mouse are included with all desktop units.

Do you offer technical support?

Yes, we offer technical support. Ask your sales rep for more info.

Does the computer have internet access?

Our computers come with wireless capabilities as well as network cards, and we can also provide a modem, but we do not offer internet service. You must have your own Internet Service Provider (ISP).
